Choose your subdomain

Every site gets a free address at sites.sitebefy.com. Choosing it well saves work later.

The first builder step asks for a subdomain. Your site will be reachable at that address the moment the build finishes, whether or not you ever connect a domain of your own.

  1. Type the name you want#

The builder suggests one from your business name. Change it to whatever you prefer.

  2. Wait for the availability check#

Availability is checked as you type. A taken name is rejected before you can continue, so you cannot get to the end of the builder and find the address gone.

What makes a good one#

Short, obviously connected to the business, and easy to say out loud. If you are likely to connect a real domain soon, this matters less: the subdomain keeps working, but it stops being the address you hand out.

Subdomains are held after deletion

If you delete a site, its subdomain is held for ten days before anyone else can take it. That protects you from losing an address to someone the moment you delete something by mistake, but it also means you cannot immediately reuse the name yourself.
