Cookie Policy
This page lists every cookie and every piece of browser storage the Sitebefy platform uses, what each one is for, and which of them you can refuse. Websites built by our customers set their own cookies under their own policies; this page is about ours.
Strictly necessary#
These make the product work and are used without asking, as the law allows.
| Name | Type | Lifetime | What it does |
|---|---|---|---|
| auth token | browser localStorage | until sign-out | Keeps you signed in to the dashboard |
| is_authed | cookie | 30 days | A yes/no flag so the site can send you to the right place before it knows who you are; it contains no identity |
Analytics, only with consent#
If you accept analytics, we set first-party cookies (ours, not a third party's):
| Name | Lifetime | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| sb_vid | 365 days | Recognizes your browser across visits |
| sb_src | 90 days | Remembers which page or campaign first brought you here |
| sb_consent | 365 days | Remembers your cookie choice |
| sb_optout | until removed | Remembers that you opted out |
| sbfy_sid | browser sessionStorage, cleared when the tab closes | Groups the pages of one visit together |
If you refuse, none of these are set. We still count page views, but anonymously: the counter's identifier is rotated every day, so two visits on different days cannot be connected to each other or to you.
You can change your mind at any time: the cookie icon in the corner of the page reopens the choice, and signed in you will also find it under Settings, Privacy.
Third parties#
We set no third-party cookies. Embedded videos (for example on the blog) do not load, and therefore set nothing, until you click to play them.
